The Lebanese Psychological Association LPA organized its first Arab conference entitled: “Psychology in the Arab World: Between Adversity and Resilience” on Friday and Saturday October 9th and 10th at Gefinor Rotana Hotel, Beirut, Lebanon.
In addition, a pre-conference workshop took place on Thursday October 8th entitled: “Working with Couples and Loving It” presented by Dr. Susan Heitler.
During the conference, Dr. Elie Karam and Dr. Aimee Karam, members of MIND, presented the following presentations:
• Dr. Elie Karam presented “A Lebanese Study on the War trauma, Mental Health, Suicide, Family Life and Work: The Price to Pay”
• Dr. Aimee Karam presented “Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy in Conflict Resolution” and "Gender-Based Violence Among Syrian Women"
