In a very inspiring TED talk, the late neurologist and author Oliver Sacks describes the Charles Bonnet syndrome where visually impaired people (partial or total visual impairment) experience lucid hallucinations. This syndrome was first described by Charles Bonnet in 1760.

In this video, Oliver Sacks describes the experiences of his patients while explaining this under-reported syndrome.
