We are pleased to announce an opening for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology at Saint George Hospital University Medical Center, Saint George University Beirut, Lebanon.

Established 40 years ago, the Department of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology pioneered the first mental health unit in Lebanon and the region, integrating psychiatric and psychological professional care within a general hospital setting. Our department provides comprehensive medical services, ensuring 24/7 emergency, inpatient, and outpatient care while offering evidence-based, individualized psychiatric and psychological treatments for all age groups.

We actively engage in local and international research collaborations, particularly through our partnership with the Institute for Development Research Advocacy and Applied Care (IDRAAC)—a pioneering non-governmental organization and research institute founded by members of our Department. IDRAAC conducts and disseminates research, informs policies, and provides community mental health services.

Job Description:
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will engage in clinical, academic, and research responsibilities within a progressive work environment. The position offer a solid career track for professionals looking to contribute to both patient care and medical education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality psychiatric care for child and adolescent patients.
• Participate in academic activities and teaching programs.
• Engage in research initiatives in collaboration with IDRAAC and other institutions.
• Contribute to inpatient and outpatient services.   

Requirements:

• Board certification or equivalent in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Strong clinical, academic, and research interests.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
